How many times can
one person sing “Unbreak My Heart?” Nikki’s family knows that the answer is
unlimited. Nikki grew up with MTV and VH1, spending hours in front of the TV
learning the words to her favorite songs. Her vocal coach – the renowned Sal
Dupree – had her singing show tunes, but for some reason, they just didn’t click
for her. It wasn’t until a family vacation to Nashville and a performance by
Dolly Parton at the Grand Old Opry that Nikki realized that she was supposed to
sing country music.
Now signed to independent Nashville label, Rustic Records, Inc., Nikki is
excited about all the opportunities coming her way. She recently opened for
James Otto during New Jersey’s Summerfest and her debut album released in
September. Ready to Ride contains 12 tracks that give the listener a deeper
insight into who Nikki is as a person. It looks like Nikki has truly found her
home in country music.
